Sophia Laurel

Minnesotan Graphic Designer

Located at Saint Paul Minnesota, Sophia is currently a senior at the University of Minnesota Duluth in the process of completing a BFA in Graphic Design. Inspired by a former design student that came to lecture on her campus, she fell in love with design and considers it to be more than just a career for her. Now Sophia is looking to set herself up for her first full time job as a graphic designer, she is interested in doing package design and utilize a very research oriented approach to design believing that understanding the research portion of design is key. In the future she would like pursue a masters degree to teach graphic design at a college level.

In her personal life Sophia enjoys local music venues, road-trips, and swimming. She is a glass-half full person that values both communication and commitment from friends, her favorite food is any kind of sandwhich and her favorite artist is Kendrick Lamar. Some of her long term goals include writing a coffee table book on her experience with dating in college and to one day publish a song on Spotify despite having no musical training or background.
